"Veer" Family Time

On Sunday we celebrated Terry's brother's birthday with the whole family. My sister in-law decided that the kids should decorate the cake before we sing "Happy Birthday!" and what a good idea it was. How cute it is to see our "not so little" 2 year olds doing a craft together. They loved it and were so excited to eat it afterwards.

After dinner (and dessert) the kids had some fun running around and having a pillowfight. What would a good post be without a little video.

Future Artist

Anyone who has spent a lot of time with Camryn will know and understand her love for drawing. She has, from the beginning, held her pen/crayon/felt in 3-point hold. This hold has led her to creatively draw very intricate and detailed pictures. Most children I know, hold a pen with a fist and scribble away, but this little girl takes after her Daddy with his creative hand. I'm not sure if she will the next Monet but I see great things for her.

Happy Valentine's Day

This is our cute little Valentine at her cousin, Christina's 1st birthday party. The kids decorated cupcakes and were definitely thrilled to do so. Super cute! :) We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Gymnastics at 2 years old

This is what gymnastics looks like at 2 years old. Camryn has so much fun each week and is learning a lot. I am shocked at the different things she is able to do on her own (handstands with her feet on the wall and hanging from the bar). Even her balancing ability continues to amaze me. I love it just as much as she does.

We are being tested

So yesterday after Terry's phone interview with Ubisoft in Montreal, he received a phone call from a company in Vancouver asking him if he can come in at 4 pm for an interview. Let's just say we jumped at the chance. His interview at CIS seemed to go well, and when we received another phone call from them at 6:30 pm to set up his second interview we jumped again.

God is definitely testing us. We were completely prepared to go to Montreal after his interview because we have had no other options. Our faith had to trust that if this was what God had planned for us, who were we to deny it and turn our backs. Terry has a second phone interview with them at 12:00 pm today.

I have to admit, I secretly hoped that there would be at least ONE company that called Terry from Vancouver, and I would have gone to Montreal if nothing else had come up, but I am really glad that it has. God answer prayers and thank you to all who were helping us out

We're probably not moving after all.

Montreal bound....?

Okay so I'm freaking out, just a little bit. Terry just received a phone call from the animation studio Ubisoft for a phone interview tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Please pray for us as I'm not sure how I feel about moving to Montreal.

This company is located in Montreal, Quebec which is really far away from here and with both of our families here, our friends and my work as well as the house we just purchased last year, I'm not sure I'm ready to leave.

Please pray that we take whichever path God is leading us down and know that it is the right path for us because He has chosen it for us.

Toddler Conversations

So Camryn is using all sorts of different words these days and her conversations typically sound like this:

"Mom, I want to wear my boots!"
"Why do you want to wear your boots Camryn?"
"Because my feet are wet!"

"I'm eating Cheerios Mommy Daddy!" She then proceeds to open her mouth and show us.
"Wow! You are."
"I are."

"I love you Mommy!"
"I love you too Camryn!"
"You love me too?"
"Yes."
"I love you too Mommy!"

"What letter is this?" We are showing her a "B".
"A 'D'! No, it's not a 'D'! It's a 'B'!"

I'm totally enjoying this! She is so cute and I love her so much.
