That's just the way it is

After my first week back to work, and all the adjusting that goes along with that, my wonderful husband gets himself in a motorcycle accident.  Bye-bye to normalcy.  He broke his right Humerus in 3 places.  Bye-bye to help of any kind for quite some time.  My husband is also self-employed and was off work for 3 whole weeks.  Bye-bye to his paychecks.  It has been 3 and a half weeks now and his next appointment with the Orthopedic surgeon is mid-June.  At that point we will have some clarity as to what he should be doing for physiotherapy, etc. 

This whole thing kind of felt like Australia all over again.  I have his company this time but I am doing everything once again.  All those blue jobs that he took over once he came back, all that help with the children, with baths and diapers, wiping bums and getting dressed, getting food made..... GONE!  And much to Bowen's dismay, Daddy can't pick him up and he hates it.  Such a Daddy's boy!!!!  I guess I'm complaining aren't I.  Well I don't really mean to be.  I know that God only gives us what we can handle, but I guess I didn't realize what I signed up for on November 30th, 2002.

I have a daredevil husband.  There I said it, and that's just the way it is.
